Order automation, material traceability, and enhanced control

 

Lodi Vecchio, Italy – Technic Italgalvano continues its commitment to innovation and quality by embarking on a comprehensive digital transformation journey.

Technic Italgalvano had already been using Infor’s FMD system for mixer management as a standalone solution. The objective of the new project was to fully integrate the FMD system into its broader digital ecosystem in order to automate order and recipe entry, and strengthen traceability, significantly reducing the risk of manual errors.

Through this digital evolution, Technic Italgalvano set out to:

  • Digitize the traceability of incoming and in-process batches
  • Simplify recipe entry, including imports directly from Excel files
  • Integrate the FMD system with the CRM platform to automate the import of master data and bills of materials
  • Extend visibility and control to additional equipment, including a product analyzer and, in the future, a new mixer and a cooling tower

The company already utilizes an on-board HMI system, which is an essential part of the Infor 4.0 platform, providing intuitive access to operational data. The new project phase focused on enhancing this existing infrastructure by expanding its capabilities. Line operators can now access technical documentation and detailed work instructions directly from their workstation, improving efficiency, accuracy, and overall process control.
