Production Proven Protection for Silver Deposits


Cranston, RI, USA – Tarniban® KS II is Technic’s premier silver anti-tarnish process designed to prevent yellow discoloration under the harshest conditions. This production-proven process can be used in barrel, rack, and high-speed reel-to-reel applications.

Engineered for excellent resistance to sulphide tarnishing, this chrome-free process maintains exceptionally low contact resistance values of 20–90 microhms/in² at 200 PSI contact pressure, making it ideal for electronic applications where reliable conductivity is critical.
Extensive testing under prolonged humidity exposure has demonstrated no change in physical appearance after 300 hours at 95% relative humidity and 32°C, confirming exceptional durability in harsh conditions.

Techniseal Ag is a powerful, electrolytic silver anti-tarnish process that deposits a nano-scale coating on the surface of the silver deposit. Its key benefit is that it works for both high-temperature protection and sulfur corrosion protection, a unique characteristic compared to other post-treatment chemistries that can only work for one or the other.

Techniseal Ag’s chrome-free, virtually invisible coating inhibits silver tarnishing, making it especially useful for plated busbars, LED or automotive connector systems.
