Technic Selected for Ambitious Franco-Taiwanese Semiconductor Cooperation Initiative

Technic is advancing its collaboration with Taiwan’s high-tech ecosystem as part of ongoing efforts to foster sustainable semiconductor innovation.
Technic was recently invited by the French Office in Taiwan to participate in Silicon French Night, a flagship event under the France–Taiwan Science & Technology Cooperation Convention.
This initiative is part of a broader governmental effort to foster joint development and technology exchange between France and Taiwan. As part of the France 2030 strategy, a call for expressions of interest (AMI) was launched under the theme: "Franco-Taiwanese Collaborative Projects in Semiconductors and AI for Semiconductors."
In response, Technic submitted the FASSST project (Future Advanced Sustainable Solutions for Semiconductor Technology), which focuses on eco-design and sustainable innovation in microelectronics. Following a rigorous evaluation process led by Mr F. Paris, the Director of the French Office in Taiwan; Mr. A. Aubel, Director of DGT Trésor (French Treasury); and Ms. Clara Chappaz, Minister Delegate for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Affairs, Technic’s proposal was selected as one of the top five most promising projects out of more than 20 submissions.
Building on this recognition, Technic has presented the FASSST project to several leading Taiwanese semiconductor manufacturers, with the support of the business France-Taiwan team headed by Mr. F. Cotier. The company is also exploring potential collaboration opportunities with the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), Taiwan’s leading RTO, which recently signed a bilateral agreement with France’s CEA (Atomic Energy Commission).
This cooperation spans six key areas, including  industry, sustainable energy, and decarbonization, which closely align with Technic’s expertise and commitment to developing safer chemical formulations.
By promoting eco-design, sustainable materials, and reduced environmental impact, Technic aims to contribute to this landmark initiative to accelerate the adoption of safer semiconductor technologies, particularly in one of the world’s most important manufacturing regions.
