In PCB applications, Technic is best known for electrolytic precious metal technology and is a major supplier in North America. Technic electrolytic processes for copper, tin and tin alloys are used world wide in many electronics applications. Technic recently introduced an innovative new product line for electrolytic acid copper processing. These products were developed to be fully analyzable. The product line includes both direct current and pulse periodic reverse current formulations that deliver improved distribution, increased throwing power and lower total operating costs. They provide optimum performance and excellent plated through hole reliability. Technic has specific products for blind via fill and through hole via fill. The Technic electrolytic acid copper processes work with both soluble and insoluble anode systems in a wide variety of processing equipment making them the most flexible acid copper plating processes available today.

Technic completes the Total Process Solution for electroplating of printed circuit boards with a wide range of metallic etch resists. Tin, Tin alloys, Nickel and Gold are the primary metals used by our PCB customer. Technic's metal etch resists meet all military, ANSI and IPC specifications. The Technic Nickel and Orosene Gold product lines are used for deep tank and tab gold plating by many of the major PCB manufactures in North America. Our continuing research and development in this area recently produced a new High Throw Nickel Process, Technic HT-2 Nickel, that dramatically increases throwing power in the nickel bath compared to standard sulfamate or sulfate products. The Technic High Throw Deep Tank Nickel Gold Process is ideally suited for high aspect ratio holes, thick panels and small plated vias.
