Complementing the SBE plating equipment, Technic has developed a patent pending, near-neutral pH pure tin plating process chemistry, CeramiStan BR. CeramiStan BR will not deposit tin onto the SBE's cathode plate, thus eliminating the need to frequently strip or scrap the plate. (Standard nickel sulfamate plating processes also do not plate onto the cathode plate.) The CeramiStan BR process is a non-foaming electrolyte that produces tin deposits with exceptional solderability characteristics.
